Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City as it is known today is the veritable cliche -A shopper’s paradise. The key feature of shopping throughout the capital of Vietnam would it be is tourist oriented, every little thing offered is supposed for consumption through the hordes of visiting tourists. Having at least a basic understanding of bargaining would serve you well here as there are many attention grabbing items on display, in the usual touristy fare to elegant antiques and souvenirs.

Spending budget in Ho Chi Minh City or elsewhere in Vietnam are far from being drab; they’re a riot of colour from extensive decorative work to the colorful knick knacks on display, along with can be an enticing prospect for tourists. The streets from the city are lined with small outlets selling indigenously produced toys, souvenirs and clothing several of which have become cost-effective. Shopping in Vietnam can be a mixture of small vendors peddling locally made handicrafts to large western style malls selling considerably more expensive fare.



The principle outdoor markets in Ho Chi Minh are Ben Thanh Market, the night time Market along with the War surplus market. The biggest with the lot will be the Ben Thanh Market, that is instantly recognized by the massive clock tower close to the traffic circle. It is just a large old-fashioned outdoor market with hundreds of narrow alleyways that have store fronts. As a result of regular patronage by tourists the market industry has morphed into a tourist attraction, many stalls now sell Vietnam t-shits and counterfeit branded jeans, caps and souvenirs.

A night Companies are located almost next to the Ben Thanh Information mill usually open after 5.00 pm.
